Aster, bees and butterflies love this autumn flower
The flowers of Aster dumosus Peter Pan are an attraction for butterflies and bees. This autumn flower for your autumn planting blooms from August to October and has purple flowers with a yellow heart. The garden plant can sometimes produce so many flowers that the blossoms are no longer visible. This aster is very happy in a sunny to semi-shady spot and only needs normal garden soil.
Aster, versatile

The autumn aster blooms from August to October with purple flowers, eventually reaching a height of approx. 50 cm and is preferably planted in the sun or in partial shade. Good neighbourliness for autumn asters
Combine autumn asters with ornamental grasses such as flowering switchgrass or blue fescue; the autumn asters stand out well against the yellow or beige autumn colours. Or plant them with other late-flowering perennials, such as autumn anemones, Japanese flowering cimmia or Sunflower 'Lemon Sundae' The delicate Verbena bonariensis and Prächtige Fetthenne Brilliant are also good neighbours. And if you're planting anyway, plant some red purple lily among the autumn asters to add year-round colour to your garden.
