The botanical name for field sand thyme is Thymus serpyllum. As a ground cover, thyme is an undemanding plant that does not need much to thrive. The plant reaches a maximum growth height of 10 to 15 centimetres and its rather fast and creeping growth carpets the desired area. Thymus serpyllum feels most at home in well-drained, sandy soil that is not too rich in lime, in sun or partial shade, and can be planted all year round. Die Thymian -Pflanzen kamen superschnell und in einem 1a Zustand zu mir nach Hause. Bereits zwei Tage nach der Bestellung konnte ich sie in meinem Garten als Bodendecker einpflanzen. Jetzt nach 4 Wochen hat sich schon ein richtiger Teppich gebildet u d die ersten Blüten sind auch schon zu sehen. Besser gehts nicht!
