Agastache 'Blue Boa' ® - Scented Nettle
This bushy, upright-growing perennial is a unique eye-catcher in your garden. From July until autumn, it enchants its viewers with its flowers. The scented nettle enchants your garden with a wildflower character and its shade is reminiscent of the blue shimmering lagoons of Boa Boa, the island paradise in the Pacific Ocean.
What is the Agastache `Blue Boa` suitable for?
Originating from Japan, where it grows in open countryside, its preference for sunny locations has remained. The summer-green scented nettle grows optimally in a normal but well-drained soil. It is ideal for planting in groups or beds, but also feels very much at home in open spaces. A location in a bee pasture is perfect for the plants, as the Agastache is a valuable butterfly and bee hive. With its fragrant scent of pineapple and mint, it attracts not only garden lovers but also numerous butterflies and bees.
Winter-hardy scented nettle
In autumn, the hardy agastache `Blue Boa` retreats into the soil and lets the above-ground shoots dry out. In the following spring, however, it sprouts again with full energy and vigour. In summer, the agastache is not very labour-intensive and does not cause the gardener much work, only on dry summer days it needs fresh watering in the morning and in the evening.
