The green hornbeam hedge inspires as a hedge element above all through its rich, green colour. The Carpinus betulus even keeps its leaves through the winter, they only turn yellow in autumn and brown in winter. By pruning the green hornbeam annually, you can ensure that the leaves remain hanging in winter and supply the soil with important nutrients later. The hornbeam is a very grateful plant that grows in any soil. Fine veined leaves develop from its pointed leaf buds. Prune Carpinus betulus preferably at the end of May and the end of August to obtain a beautiful, dense hedge.
