Taxus baccata is an evergreen, very decorative tree that can grow into a compact hedge. Its needle-like leaves retain their rich green even in the cold season. This makes the yew one of the most popular garden plants when planted as a hedge. It is best to find a semi-shady location for the yew. It is very robust even in hard winters and withstands frost periods easily. The hedge is supplied with a height of about 2 metres and grows very slowly. You can prune Taxus baccata in summer if necessary. The yew grows best as a hedge in a light, moisture-retaining soil. You will be doing the plant a favour if you regularly fertilise it with lime.
Delivery of the yew hedge element :
Taxus baccata consists of 4 densely grown plants in the size 100 (length) x 40 (width) x 180 cm (height). The plants have already had several years of good and careful care and have been pruned regularly. As a result, they have developed an unusually strong root system, which has also been regularly pruned. The hedge is supplied in a biodegradable box that can be planted at the same time and will decompose by itself. You can also purchase the beech hedge element in decorative planters made of wood, steel or polystone. You will receive a free drip system for irrigation with every hedge.
Note: Due to the size and weight (150 kg per element), the elements must be delivered by a forwarding agent. The costs for this depend on the quantity and distance, therefore we would like to ask you to contact us by telephone before placing your order so that we can discuss the delivery modalities.
