Ground cover rose Rosa The Fairy red - wonderfully easy to care for and beautiful
Shrub roses, also known as small shrub roses, are not classical shrubs in the true sense of the word. However, due to their low height, compact growth and numerous branches, these dwarf roses can also be used to optimally landscape large areas. Ground cover roses of the variety Rosa The Fairy red transform beds, borders or large areas into an enchanting sea of beautiful red flowers in summer.
The Fairy variety - blooming all summer long
Roses are considered the queen of flowers. The Fairy rose also captivates with its beautiful red flowers. From June to October it produces an abundance of flowers. These grow in groups and form a lovely contrast to the lightly seeded oval leaves in lush green.
The Fairy ground cover roses grow to a maximum height of 50cm and quickly cover large areas with their tangle of branches. The small shrub roses are therefore ideal for turning flower beds and other open areas in the garden into a sea of flowers and at the same time keeping unwanted weeds at bay.
Rose The Fairy red - undemanding and low-maintenance
The Fairy rose is absolutely hardy and is one of the really undemanding and low-maintenance ground cover roses. It is one of the best known small shrub roses. As a ground cover, these roses are simply perfect. They like a location in the sun or partial shade and feel at home in normal garden soil. Well-drained soil encourages flower formation and growth.
If you use these roses as ground covers, you should cut the plants back to about 10 cm in height in spring. This also promotes the formation of numerous flowers and makes the planted areas look like a dense natural carpet of green and red.
A small shrub rose that fits everywhere
The Fairy rose can be planted anywhere where weeds need to be suppressed and a sea of red rose petals needs to be a colourful accent. Due to the dense tangle of branches, the plant is particularly suitable for planting as a border and at the same time as a support for berms and slopes. Its fast growth ensures that the planted areas are quickly and densely greened.
But these roses are not only perfect as ground covers. You can plant The Fairy Rose just as well as a bedding plant, a border plant or a low flowering hedge. For group or hedge planting, you will need about 12 plants per square metre.
The Fairy rose is very decorative when planted in small groups in beds and borders and then combined with lavenderand other perennials. The red variety The Fairy can be combined in colour with almost any perennial that, like the small ground cover roses, prefers a sunny to semi-shady spot in the garden.
Pink The Fairy Red lends a romantic and at the same time natural flair to the home garden. Ground cover roses therefore suit many design styles, from cottage gardens to English gardens.
The plants are grown in pots, so you can use these plants all year round.
