One of the special features of this unusual plant is that it changes its colour several times a year. The glossy, dark green basic structure of the glossy medlar is interrupted by intensely red-coloured young shoots.
Different pruning options for this hedge plant
This hedge plant does not grow very compactly. To get a dense, formal hedge, the Photinia hedge needs to be pruned at least once a year. Regular pruning makes this garden plant even more attractive.
