Little Red Robin'

Little Red Robin is one of the most beautiful hedging plants of all. The dwarf medlar Little 'Red Robin' could well be described as the little brother of the Red Robin variety. The relatively small shrub of this dwarf variety does not grow more than 100 cm in height and width. The Photinia fraseri little 'Red Robin' has an unusual appearance and varies its colour several times a year. Photinia little 'Red Robin' has deep green glowing leaves, but the new shoots are red coloured and usually appear at the beginning of May. This also gives the shrub its beautiful recognisable appearance. This variety hardly flowers at all, but when it does, in the period from May to June, small white umbrella panicles form. However, the shrub is mainly planted in the garden because of its beautifully coloured, lanceolate, glossy flowers.
